stalk problems dont work v6 cdti sri vectra

hi im new to this site and was wondering if any one could help i just have brought a v6 vectra cdti sri lovely car was not to sure about auto but am ok with it the only issue i have is that the stalks dont work cruise control on left hand side and on the right hand side say I logo which i thinks means info click them both nothing really annoying as i have just brought this private can anyone shed any light on the problem fixable ??

Do the indicators work?
If so, then the stalk is connected and it is just the cruise control needs sorted
Before moving off, press the foot brake
Now try the cruise control

I am not aware of an "I" logo on the right hand side
Mine has a four position variable switch on the top for the intermittent wiper, only works when the wiper selector is in position 1

yes incators work as well do lights when you pull back on stick towards you as for the i logo mines on the face on the stick the right stick and the top of the stick has the wiper options and a little wheel left to right

The buttons on the wiperstalk is for the BoardComputer controls (there are 3 buttons on it)

yes i have got this one do i need to remove them and clean connections

pull the rubber gator back and you'll see a small groove, push a straight paper clip into the groove and the stalk can then be pulled out.
once its out clean the contacts and unclip the two clips and place a small piece of card under the contacts - this ensures the contacts are in permanent contact.
then push it back and see if it works.

then pull the clutch lever up with your foot to see if that works if the stalk hasn't fixed it. if that works its the clutch return spring.

if neither works, buy a warranty and try a claim for a new cim pack....lol.... its about £400.

mine is the same and thankfully, its covered by warranty.
