someone help me with gimp photoshop

hi all i have gimp photo shop as its free and fort id try this before i buy the real deal so anyone who uses gimp wanna help me out thanx plus if i can do it i can do everyone elses car for them

lol, mate I downloaded it aswell, its really confusing. I have always fancided im fairly good with computers and working programs out but this one has caught me big time !!!

Look at the bottom of the screen when you have a tool selected and it gives hints, things like hold control to select a certain area to work on, etc

I use gimp, and If I can figure out the basics anyone can. To make an object smaller, you have to outline it using the capture tool (looks like a lassoo) from the main toolbox, outline what you want to mess with by clicking the mouse as you follow the outline, when you've outlined the object, click on the scale tool from the tool box (4th down on the left) then click anywhere on the pic and a box opens enabling you to increase/decrease the size. Simples. lol.
