I have a JVC cd player in the veccy with the steering wheel controls connected up via autoloeads wiring.
The problem is now we've connected it all i have to manually switch it off every time i turn the car off.

cross over the red and yellow power wires so they go red-yellow and yellow-red
I think that's what we've done to make it work in the first place mate because it wasnt originally. i'll double check!

Are you using the autoleads steering control lead also?
Yeah both the patch kit and the other part required, both suited to the radio and car, however my original wiring does appear to have been somewhat butchered - however doesnt appear to be causing any problems appart from this perhaps!
However radio worked perfectly before we installed this new wiring.
Ahh i had a similar problem when installing the patch lead. You have to add another wire the the plug iirc. For the life of me i can't remember where to put it. I will keep searching
Cheers mate, i really appreciate the help as little things like this really REALLY annoy me!
Thom
There is a white and orange wire on the plug. Connect the red wire to that and it will work
Look at this thread. i'm sure this was the method i used and it worked http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92012
Cheers mate, ill give that a try at the weekdn!
