gearbox oil change vectra 1.9 cdti 150??

Hi guys does anyone hereknow how you do a gearbox oil change on a 1.9 cdti 150. I've had a look but can't find a how 2.

hmm looks a little out of my reach. i know i wont get under the front to get the panel off underneath without a bit of a struggle. how much labour do you rekon a garage would charge for it? probably take them mins with a ramp im guessing??

also any reccomendations on what oil to use?. ive looked up fully synthetic gearbox oil but i havent got a clue what the grades are

it's not difficult at all mate, just a bit fiddly & slow putting the oil back in with out spilling any, after doing mine the gaer change was much smoother, there's a link about putting less oil back into the box, for a easier gearchange (i think it's 2.5 lites.)

just cant see myself getting underneath to get the panel off underneath the engine and i aint got a decent jack that i trust

i asked about this on my last service and vauxhall do reconise it as part of any service, is it worth doing?

as far as i'm aware Vauxhall don't renew gearbox oil as part of the full & interim service, i would highly recomend it if you have a crunchy 1st to 2nd gear change - it fixed mine, just remember to put the reduced recomened amount back in.
