    Default Auto Lights

2006 Signum 1.9 CDTi When the lighting switch is set to the auto position the lights remain on all of the time. I've only had the car a few days and wonder if there is something that I can have done to cause this and - how do I know whether or not I have the auto wipers fitted?

    Any help appreciated.

I have auto lights, been in the auto postion for 2 years never moved, lights only come on when it gets dull/dark, if you have auto lights you will have auto wipers.

My wife's Corsa is always left in the auto position and does as yours does, but mine don't seem to go off at all. Is the half spherical button in the top of the fascia, just behind the windscreen the lighting sensor, if so,where is the auto wiper sensor? I have yet to sort out the Climate Control system.

if the lights dont go out you have a fault. Mine done this when I first fitted them and it was a broken wire in the loom.

Check all the plugs are in properly under the panel behind your rear view mirror.

No, that's the climate control sensor.

The auto headlight sensor is just below the top of the windscreen, along with the sensor for the auto wipers.

Also check the auto rain wipers. Some people disconnect the rain sensor which also disconnects the lights sensor. So if they only work as manual it may be that the plug is out!

If it's the sensor, they're not that expensive.
