    Default Blocked Pollen filter drain

    Well thanks to a previous post on here I found the blocked drain just under the pollen filter, however I cant see where to spray wd40 on the fan to help stop the rust, could anyone help out?

    Remove the Pollen Filter and then you can see the top of the fan and can check how free it is by turning it by hand.

    Don't use wd40 as its not a very good lubrication spray, more of a release agent. Try something like 3in1 or even engine oil - new of course.

    Silicone spray isn't a good lube for metals, just for plastics. Not sure if the fan is a metal or plastic bearing.

    Use whatever has the least smell - otherwise you'll be smelling it in the car whenever you turn the fan on.

    I used WD 40 and just sprayed the whole area.That was 18 months ago and I've had no problems whatsoever since.Regarding the smell,I taped an air freshener to the pollen filter and that sorted it!!!.FELIXX.

    Works wonders doing that doesn't it, I spray mine with Febreeze every weekend. Keeps the car smelling lovely.

    Mine felt a bit tight so just gave it a spray of WD-40. Seemed to do the job.
