    Unhappy Door mirror bezel/surround

Some barsteward travelling in the opposite direction to me this evening decided he'd use a part of my side of the road and their door mirror (I assume) hit mine knocking the glass off its mount (which has clipped back on fortunately) and sending the surround into oblivion (dark NSL B road in middle of nowhere with lots of traffic)

I need a part number/description of where I can get a replacement surround please.

    Car is a 2006 (55) Signum Design

Is it the black bit that has come off? They are part of the actual mirror assembly so not sure if they are actually available as a part. Or do you mean the large cover?

    Default

The black/grey bit that surrounds the mirror.

I called the local dealers today and a very helpful chap tracked down what we believe to be the part for under £6.00.

I've ordered one and if its correct I'll put up the part number.

He said I needed a coup,e of clips too but he'd chuck them in FOC.

Indeed. I managed to pick one up at my local scrappys, found one on a smashed mirror, was the only part salvageable, However I had to break it to get it to fit my mirror, you cant see the crack though, praise the Yanks for super glue.

    Unhappy

Sorry for the false hope chaps. It was the wrong part.

They only supply the front surround with the back and its £68.

Luckily the mirror on mine didn't break as its the Dichromatic auto dipping mirror and the glass is £140! Gulp
