    Default Car Hifi

    Hi all

Since owning Vetra's i Really miss the ability to play MP3's, so I want to get a new HiFi for the car.

I have 08 Sri, it currently hap CD30, I've got about £100 to spend I, i still want my on board computer to work with MPG etc, and I want the steering wheel controls to still work, whats your recomendations guys?

I was thinking a two din hifi might be best to stop it from looking naf, but it looks like that might be more effort than its worth

double dins are the way to go but your budget is not going to get you a good one or the steering controls, might be worth waiting as a £200 budget would get what your after matey HTH

I had an Alpine Single din HU with steering wheel controls. A lead came out the back which had a full speed connection to my ipod/iphone.

It looked great in the car, played all music formats you could throw at it. Do a search in google for car audio and you will find loads of listings. Give them a call, they will be able to find a suitable HU for you with steering controls and with the budget you have.

You will also need a single din facia. The BC still works fine with an aftermarket HU.

Just to give you an idea, this what mine looked like mount in my Vectra. The small control box for steering was velcroed under the heater panel, and the ipod lead came out in the compartment under the heater controls.
