    Default front pads 150CDTI

I've had my car from practically new, (08) and I'm clocking up to 56,000 miles now... just wondering about the front pads as they are the same pads that came with the car from new. They seem ot have lasted an unusually long time... anyone elses last this long?....

My 06 2.2 auto elite has done 56,000 miles. Still on the original front pads and discs, but had the rear discs and pads changed last year at something like 47,000 miles.

Sounds about normal, the Vec C is tends to eat rear pads.
Changed rears at 44K and fronts at 60K.
Car now done 95K and gonna replace rear discs and pads next week along with a brake fluid change.

Depends how heavy you are on brakes, some people drive up to lights, junctions, stationary vehicles etc then brake the car to a halt - my wife does. I tend to use the throttle more, easing off enough so that the car slows itself down. She needs pads way before I do. Sounds like you're lightfooted.

Not me. Nor do I have the luxury of much engine braking with a 2.2 auto, unless I use the tiptronic box and manually change down - sometimes do on hill decents.

Lol I thought that was just me

I keep trying to get my genuine ones to wear out so I can fit greenstuff pads but with my driving style and the pad life it seems impossible
