Exhaust emission light and loss of power below 2000 revs

Hi,

The Exhaust emission light has come on and i have a loss of power below 2000 (ish) revvs.

It pulls fine after that but on pull away does not want to go.

I have a CDTI 150 50k miles on a 07 plate.

Any ideas what it could be ?

Had a look at some of the pipes and can't see splits.

It is an auto so not sure i can get the codes from doing the pedals trick ?

Could be the boost sensor or the EGR need a clean just about to do mine today

also check the vacuum pipes for splits

This is for a 120 but should be the same for a 150 apart from the EGR is not in the same place

Cleaned the EGR and it now works fine...

The warning light has gone off after a short drive.

Hopefully that is it now..

One thing i was going to ask is...

I cleaned the EGR but could not disconnect the plug.

i pulled the yellow lock bit down a couple of cm but could not get the conector apart.

Should i have pulled the clip down further ? Did not want to break it so just cleaned with it still attached...

Well
the emissions light has appeared again..
i cleand both EGR and boost valve this time but light remains.
can i continue to drive and ignore the light ?
the car seems to be running fine.
was thinking of blocking off the EGR but i think the light will remain.

Any ideas or suggestions please ?

have a look at the 3rd injector, i had the same thing, did all the usual. egr replacement, boost sensor and reconected the linkage on the swirl valves but after a week the problems returned, did the 3rd injector change following the how 2 on the site and been great since, other than that the symptoms are similar for inlet manifold issues.

Try looking at the carbon canistor mate, i think its wat its caused anyway. my ex misses has a brand new zafira 1.9cdti and after 200 miles it lit up, its normally caused by poodling around, i cleared it by taking it for a good thrashing down the motorway, cleared it right out and sorted the problem.

Had this happen to mine, it can come on when a regen is interrupted too many times... Caught it doing it once and took it for a blast and the regen completed (could tell because consumption went up to 0.9Gallons per hour) and not seen it since

When i look at the 3rd injector how do i know if there is an issue (what am i looking for ?)
