I know where you're coming from mate. Back in Jun/Jul i was getting bored of mine, and had had a few repair bills.

I did some cosmetic mods.. SMD Dash Conversion, took out clip on bluetooth and satnav and installed a factory fit, had my 19" snowies done, remap, HIDS etc and now i love the car.

I enjoy driving it and glad i have now kept it. Not everyone will be rejuvenated with cosmetic upgrades, but it worked for me.

Well going from the responses on here lately I will tow the current line of responses and just say this. Things go wrong, it's not a brand new car but a used one and therefor you need to expect faults

Seriously though, I'd be well peed off as you are too. Unfortunately some of the 1.9's are not as good as they should be. The good mpg is offset with the poor build quality. However you have replaced mist bits so hopefully it's going to beca good car now

Crank seal went on mine as well, had a few other problems but once they are done then they're done. To be honest looking on the bright side seems the worst has happened and it can only get better. Keep the car for a while longer give it a good year, I'm sure it will impress you sooner than you think. As said the diesels seem to present more problems than petrols as long as your clutch and flywheel seem good then its all good.

Try giving yours a clean make - it's suprising how much nicer a car feels when it's sparkly and clean inside and out...
