    Default Cd70 Change to Colour

Sorry if been asked before but here goes.
I have just bought a 2005 Signum 3.0 v6 Diesel Elite and loving it compared to my old 2.2 Sri but have an idea.
It has a mint cd70 navi unit with a fully functioning non colour display etc . If I buy a cd70 unit from a 2006 Signum with a colour display will this go straight in. I have been told the colour unit is a married working pair and comes with all codes required.

    Cheers Fellas.

    Ive edited your thread.

To reply yes it will fit in without problems.. but if you have the codes with why not have it married to your car?

Ok sorry broke the rules :-(

Well I thought new full colour married unit in all in one and just take out the old cd70 non colour unit with screen and sell it on. I just didn't want to buy something that doesn't work with my car .I didn't realise the non colour doesn't show an active map otherwise I would keep it.

Yeah I will be getting the vent all in.So what differences will I see? I like the idea of the live map rather than orange symbols .

Note that the preface and facelift centre screen surrounds are different... make sure you get the right one for your car..

What difference do I need to know about with the centre vents ? Mine is a 05 Signum and the unit is out of a 2006. Can the surrounds be made to fit.

In the Vec the facelift surround has rounded top corners and the preface doesn't... also.. the dash trim fitting is different... so if you use the wrong one the trim may not fit correctly.... well it didn't in mine when I made this mistake...
