    Default engine not running right

want to throw this problem out to you lot for some ideas, i'm hoping somebody can help me.

a couple of months back i had an issue with my 2.2 petrol engine.
i changed the plugs and got a new coil pack. problem seemed to go away.
    NOW IT'S BACK.
if i'm driving along at say 30 40 mph the engine runs great, put your foot down and accelerate hard to whatever speed all is fine.
the problem comes along when i'm driving around and i have to slow down a bit, like coming up to a roundabout, when i come out the other side it seems like it is missing for a while, like its not firing right. then it goes away and all is fine again.
i need a bit of help with this as it's begining to really get on my nerves now. dont know what else to look at for the problem.

    cheers in advance

Did you get the fuel pressure regulator replaced?

You need to get the fault code read... Was it engine light or the car & spanner light ?

Its the Car & Spanner light that would show for a failing Fuel Regulator or Pump, so guess you might be ok there... Engine light probably means something to do with air/fuel mixture or emissions control maybe not right.. But still, get the Regulator swapped out by dealer if they'll do it under the recall...

Is there anybody you know local to you who could read your codes, as a garage will charge you handsomly just to read them... (although the dealer will possibly inform you of the other codes if/when they change the fuel regulator)

i got the 2.2direct and it sounds like the same as mine did with mines it was the high pressure fuel filter and the fuel regulator got them both replaced under warranty and it runs better than it ever has . HTH

PLEASE CHECK EVERYTHING THE OTHER POSTERS HAS SAID, BUT,,if you changed the plugs/coil pack and the problem went away, but has now returned,,,, check your leads as well.
