    Default electric mirror fault

i have a vectra cdti sri 2007. have a fault with the electric mirrors, the left hand side one works perfectly but when i try and move the right hand side one, it still moves the left side. i knw theres a switch which allows to change between the two but when the right one is pressed in its still the same.

    any1 got any ideas??

    cheers

It is meant to work like that. There is nothing wrong with it. Adjust the right first, then the left. Then if someone else drives the car and needs to move the mirrors then they will both move together.

I actually booked mine into the dealer with this fault and had to go through having the mechanic look at it and then advise me this was normal operation,... can't understand why the front desk staff don't know these things!!

what do you mean by adjust one first then the other? aint the switches for left and right suposed to let you select which mirror to move?

nope, two switches yes but left one operates singularly and drivers side does both for the reasons posted above

Strangely, it's not the case on all Vec C's (although does seem to be on all facelifts). I had two pre-facelifts at the same time for a while, an 03 plate SXi and a 54 plate SRi and one of them did exactly as you describe and one worked independently of each other.
