ok ive has this p0170 code for a while now and tryed quite a few things ..yesterday i replaced the waterpump and cam belt as it was due ...now the car wont tick over properly and smells real bad of petrol ...i checked for codes and none was present ....so this morning i tryed again ..nothing stored went to pending and it come up with P0110...P0301...P0302.. the strange thing is i diconected my code reader as i had a call went back and the codes wasnt there in pending again ? do u think ecu is faulty thats what ive been told ?

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)


What engine is it?

Is the timing correct? Have you assembled the air system back with out leaks, and tightened all the clips properly? Is the MAF connected properly?

hi ste yeah the timing was out by 1 tooth so it ticks over now ....but still bad it runs and if u have the choke on and using loads of fuel ...put it on the diagnostic machine snap on polaris ....it says its runnihg lean then rich then lean on the air flow side ...
