    Default Sqealing from drivers side of engine

    Hi guys i have had this noise a while but its getting worse i have a 2 litre dti 53 plate has anyone else had this and what solved it to me it sounds like it could be a belt roller bearing or something like that Regards steve

    Sounds like a drive belt or tensioner, get it checked or it may cause a severe failure and you may lose power steering or worse !

    Quite possibly, once had this go on an old 1.7tdi and it wrecked:
    water pump, belts (3), pulleys (2), tensioner, crankcase housing and metal housing mechanism !!!

    Does sound like a tensioner has siezed either exposed on the drive belt or possibly internal on the timing belt, like others advise, take great care and have it checked ASAP

    noise gone just went away so i then just sprayed all around that area with gt 85 as an added extra
