    Default Wheeler Dealers.

    Do you watch this program?

Ed China & Mike Brewer do a great job with this program but have you noticed when they jot down the prices at what they have spent you can see other new parts on they didn't mention?

But it does show you how to re furbish your alloys when you scuff them & the ease of repairing most jobs.

A good program to anybody who likes to tinker with there motors.

    Do you watch it.?

If you look at the Lifestyle catagory on Sky, you will see Wheeler Dealers shows on several channels. Not a bad programme, but it hads to be remembered that Ed China is a professional mechanic with a proper work shope etc. Loads of the tasks he takes on would be beyond the majority of us. They seldom make all that much profit on the cars in the end. It is entertaining. I got into it when I was bed bound following my spinal injury. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable for many here, is the opinions of both the mechanic and the sales man of after market modifications that they often find on the cars. These are nearly always binned to be replaced by original parts.

My thoughts exactly standard cars all the way.

Yes he's a ramp you can use axle stands to do the brakes,And replace the clutch on some cars.

Nothing is impossible it just takes time and patience if your confident, but if not not a problem still a good show and what he does with a mop looks brilliant.

It annoys me, as they say at the end the car is worth XXX then let it go for peanuts, and their assessment of what's spent never includes labour - apart from William's point about professional mechanic in proper garage, which is a good one!

Personally I quite like the programme and have done for years, however the new series I've noticed, include more specialists to do the work, leaving us wondering what's going on, how it works, how it's fixed etc for instance the saph cossie with head and box issues, I've worked on a cossie and the guts are amazing when theyre opened up, so as said above, yeah I agree, ALOT is missed, but I've still got on series link on me hd box

Re above, they don't have to include labour in the costs because the everyday mechanic gets a weekly wage, and can do 10 clutches, 20 services and a tyre change and get paid £250-£300, they do, however say, how much labour would cost on most Jobs.
