creeking drivers seat (driving me mad)

I noticed a creek coming from the bottom of the backrest where it is connected to the base on the left hand side. I am a bit of an OCD person when it comes to little noises like that haha! it's happening everytime i move in the seat or drive off etc

I'm going to take the seat out of the car on saturday and try to see if I can tighten anything up or put some grease in, I don't know.

Has anyone ever had this problem and solved it in thier car? or is that just wishful thinking?

Heyy!! Join the club! Ive had mine 'repaired', then Iv'e had it replaced - all failed and still squeaks and creaks.
Problem with the seat is that it's classed as 'trim' and only covered for 12 months from new. Don't know how old your Vec is but mine is an 08 and got it replaced under warranty however when I went back after 6 months of the new fitting, they refused to deal with it.

I've written a nice letter to Vauxhall and they telephoned me a few days ago to book it in for fault finding... I think I have a thread on this somewhere in 'bodywork and interior'.

Nice one mate. I read your post about the seat, I couldn't make sense of the foreign forum even with the google translator. I might wright a letter to vauxhall eventually my self about this if I can't get it sorted.
