    Default Window Regulator

    Hi,

I have put this post in the bodywork section but nobody has replied, so i thought i'd try you guys.

i've had my vectra c drivers side electric window regulator welded because it snapped...done a good job of it too.
It's been put back on the door, but i can't seem to get it to shut properly.
When it gets near the top it starts leaving a gap(about 5mm) along the centre column side.If i hold the glass when i close it,it guides it shut.
Anyone know how to level this up please,is there a certain way you have to do it ?

not sure i but i belive you loosen bolt through the rail assembley hole, push the window up to the stop and tight up to the B pillar then retighten bolt,a little WD40 on the window guides/glass slides helps,
sounds like the regulator is slightly out of line on the weld

One small addition, don't under any circumstances use WD40 to lubricate it, WD40 becomes sticky as it dries out as it's not oil based.

For windows if you actually want to lubricate the runners, a very small amount of silicon grease is what you need.
