The "old girl" has been clocking on the miles in the last few months and is due a well deserved service and MOT is round the corner as well....

Was last serviced at 77k and has now got 108k on the clock and has only had a couple of oil changes since in the mean time....

I have a mate that will do the work (works in Ford main dealership) for me but was wondering what should be done it it for that mileage....

Car is a 2004 2.0 DTI

i would get the cam belt changed if you can.

then after that. engine oil, filter, coolant, fule filter, pollen filter, brake fluid, air filter.


then obvisously get it checked all round, as chance are, bushes ball joints etc will be starting to wear, so better to catch them early.

i would get the cam belt changed if you can.

Its got a pair of camchains

But sound advise for the rest of it

Your mate is the mechanic let him use his proffesional judement on what it may need he's in the best position.

Bigtree - He is one of the good guys (few and far between at dealers I know!) but was wondering if there were any specific Vectra issues for a car of its age and mileage.... As the missus keeps reminding me probably didnt explain myself that well !!
