Ok, bit of back story...
Got a main service done at dealers on Monday, they phoned back and said I needed to get brake pads done on all four corners and wheel alignment as well. I knew the alignment would prob need done as the steering wheel was always slighly out from dead straight and also there was some uneven wear on the front tyres.
So anyway I said to go ahead just to get it all done and dusted.
Collected the car and drove the short distance home through torrential rain so didn't get a great feel for anything.
Been out driving properly four times today and it feels like the front wheels aren't connected to the steering wheel?! On uneven roads it feels like the power steering keeps intervening and trying to pull the wheel out of my hands. Also on the motorway at 70mph, the wheel had a very slight quiver when before it was rock solid at motorway speeds. It actually felt like I was driving on oil at one point which is very disconcerting at 70mph!
And on top of that the suspension now feels even harder than it did before (SRi). Just to point out that up until this week the handling felt spot on and only the tyres really let it down.
So I'm at a kind of loss because I'm not sure whether or not my car was actually driving properly before, but I just was used to it, or whether there is something else wrong with it now
Can anyone shed an informed opinion for me please? I'm off for a few days so would love to get it all sorted with dealer before I have to go back to work!
Thanks in advance.
