i havent fitted the flip out one but i have the 3" screen one and that sticks out a little but not much, just about a finger. hth
I think the 7" flip out screen 1 stick out alot more for the screen mechanism to operate, but then how ugly will that look sticking out 1.5 inch! So who wud buy em, not only that when they stik out so far surely a thief can pull it out eaiser! Probz wont even need a screwdriver!
yeah they stick out a lot
dont buy a rip speed 1 unless you get it cheap they dont have a good rep for working long
mine was ok in the car for 2 yrs till i sold it...........did get it half price of a mate who worked there tho

I have the new DV720 in my car and it doesn't stick out an inch and a half like same say, defo less than an inch, no more. They don't stick out any more than other flip out head units, its just the nature of them. I never have it closed when using it anyway so it doesn't actually matter what it looks like closed does it..?
The new ones are far better quality than the old ones, I think the have a deal on at the moment where you can get them for £150 new. The software is massively updated too, making transversing folders far easier than before.
Makes me laugh comments like this, have you actually seen them..? Probably not. They are secured to the cage so aren't easily removed, no metal keys to release these. But if someone wants any stereo, nothing will stop it being removed unfortunately.
