    Default Heated Leather Seats Comfort

How much of a difference does it make having leather seats, but not having them heated?

Is it really noticable on the colder weather, or do they warm up ok with body heat after a short time and become comfortable?

Also, do ALL leather seats for Vectra Hatchbacks come heated as standard, or do some come without it?

Reason i ask, i think i might have found a couple of sets.. one set is heated, the other the owner does not know.

I dont want to buy a set if not having them heated makes them uncomfortable so i thought i would ask.

I have been in touch with Plasma to ask about getting them wired up as per your recommendation Richard, but dont know how long it might be between fitting them and getting them wired up....

what i dont want to do is buy and fit them, then find its a few weeks before i can get them wired and have to drive an uncomfortable car in the mean time.

Take it you don't already have the wiring in place. It's not uncomfortable, just a tad cold when you first sit on them

Nope, no wiring in place for me! As long as its only cold initially, then warms up so is comfortable, then thats fine.

Sounds to me a bit like Aircon. A nice thing to have, but can live without it if its not there.

Heated leather seats are a luxury item.. Lovely when you've got them for the first 20 minutes on a cold day.

Remember though, they are still freezing when you first sit in the car, along with the steering wheel, ambient air temperature and gear knob.. So your still going to feel the cold at some point.

I found them handy when going on a long journey, but just wearing a suit, shirt and tie (ie thin material clothing).

But it isn't uncomfortable once warmed up with everything else in the car

You can't beat heated leather. They warm up far quicker than letting your body heat do it. Also handy for back aches as well.

Thanks Chaps, I reckon if i find a set i can live with them until i can get the heated part of them working.

It will be something else to look forward to!
