hey peeps, long time no speak....hope ur all ok

little problem with my car over the past few days:

when i first start the car it ticks over fine but wont rev....... after about a min its fine

any one know wot this problem is?

EGR all coked up... either needs a new or a good clean..

have you got the spanner light while it won't rev, does it do it every time you start or just on the cold morning start ?

no thats the thing no spanner or engine man light on....its strange yeah only done it these past 2 days n yeah its been cold ish

Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Common fault on the 1.9CDTI's.

If that is the faulty part then remove and clean out. Follow the how 2.

u prob think im thick but remove wot the whole exhaust? or got any pics of wot im ment to be cleaning out..... not use to these new cars.....give me a old vauxhall or ford and ill do it with my eyes closed lol

The valve in the engine. On the CDTI's it sits at the top right.
