    Default silly question....to do with side mirrors

    do the side mirrors fold in manually or can it be done by pressing a button?? silly question i know but my car is currently in the garage with the handbook inside so cant try/read up for myself. just that a friend said they fold in electrically but i cant remember there being any sorta button for this.....its a 04 2.2sri by the way. cheers folks

    Pretty sure they are manual mate mine are and its an Sri also!

    Some models have them but not sure which ones

    Mine are manual, only time it works automatically is if someone coming the opposite direction tries to squeeze through too narrow a space (happened to me about a year ago, it was bl@@dy scary – he/she/it did not stop and the road was too busy to turn round)

    Electric Folding mirrors are a factory fitted option that must be specified at the time of buying the car new mate. If they are fitted they fold in by ensuring the two mirror adjustment switches are disengaged (ie all buttons level on drivers window control panel) and then by pressing the 4 way mirror adjustment switch to the left ... then to fold out it must be pressed to the right.

    IIRC from reading the manual and wishing I had this gadget anyway

    My mother drove her vx astra years ago through a tite gap and hit both mirrors at the same time.
