twin exhaust

i want to put the sri back boxes on my sxi t as it has one each side under the rear bumper at the moment so will i need to change the bumper or not to make it look like the sri one.

i think the sxi bumper is differant to the sri one. i think some one on here has done this with the original bumper just made two cut out for the exhausts exits.

you can buy the trim off vauxhall for about £60+VAT or try a breaker yard its where i got mine and it fits directly onto a sxi bumper well this one did anyway

We have cross wires here. All SXi Vectra's up to 1994 had the standard rear bumper with hidden tailpipes :-

Single on 1.8, 2.2 and 2.2 DTi, twin on 2.0 T.

From 2004, SXi models came with full SRi body trim with exposed tailpipes, the rear bumper and trim was 100% SRi :-

Single on 1.8, 2.2 and 2.2 DTi, twin on 2.0 T.

So in this case, it sounds like you have the pre-2004 model with the hidden pipes, so your options are, as already suggested, cut out your existing bumper trim, or buy an SRi rear bumper.

From my experience: there are two different types of bumpers. Sri one is an integral element with with black matte cover for exhaust. Sxi one is divided, lower part is a separate element and exhaust is hidden. To have a desirable effect U should buy Sri one.

In the UK,SXi had the SRi Sports rear bumper with the mat grey 'cover'/Insert.
