BT unlimited is 100GB per month TOTAL of upload and download. I use one program for everything I download which handily has a counter on it to show much much you've uploaded and downloaded. I limit the two together at about 80 giving me room for surfing and gaming etc...

You guys should count yourselves lucky. I struggle to just surf with Virgin Broadband.

From thursday till monday the box sits with the "Internet" light red (normally green) for say 75% of the time. Even tonight the connection I have is patchy. The box loses and picks up the connection every 2 mins

Never used to be like this until we moved our line rental to them too. Never mind though as there are plenty of other broadband suppliers

O2 should advertise it properly as "High Limit Broadband" if they are telling you that you can't go over a certain figure.

A call to the regualtor of advertising may be in order for a case of false advertising!

Well it isnt technically false advertising... they are giving you Unlimited Broadband usage each month... but if you **** them off... they can cancel your contract and cut you off. Which they are entitled to do.

They stated they have a 40GB per household target, but its not a limit as you've proven, and even once you exceed this target you can still access the internet. .....also, they may not like what you are downloading either....

Hitting big numbers occassionally isnt going to worry them, but if its consistent then they wont like it.

Next time you go to an 'all you can eat' chinese restaurant and start shoveling food into your mouth as fast as you can... and dont stop..

It wont be long before your asked to leave .. or never come back

What annoys me is the huge swinging advert boards opposite cash dispensing machines that state "FREE CASH".... yeah right...

I would have thought, like most people I expect, that Unlimited means unlimited. If there are restrictions to the amount they should state it - probably in the (very) small print.
