Well i have ammassed all I need to take my car up to the VXR figures.... Shed loads of research and bad info, crap customer service and false promises eventually gave me the parts list i needed to make the car do what i want it to..
We have a modified TD04L14T turbo that is now a hybrid TD04HL16T.
A bigger fuel pump
Bigger 630cc injectors.
A 3inch stainless downpipe with a 100cpi racecat
actually I do need to get a stainless connector pipe for the DP into my existing centre section but they are only a fiver...
I will fit the DP myself but the turbo, fuel pump and injectors will need to be fitted at the same and then the map applied, I think I will be using that performance place i referred to in another thread to fit the rest of it unless we have some willing volunteers on here... Then it will be put on the dyno for some official figures...
Estimated figures are from 285bhp - 300bhp for this upgrade.. and I think i will leave it at this, the costs of taking it higher than this are not worth it and I have promised my wife to put in a new kitchen and bathroom next year...
I will take pics of the downpipe (DP) fitting to make a How2 and if i decide to do the rest of the work myself which i am tempted to do I will make a how2 for that also..
So the tension builds as I count down to the big day....
I do not need a bigger diff or race clutch as I will not be doing power slides down the road or hacking it through the gears... This car is my daily driver and i want the power when i am out on the dual carriageways and motorways etc when i can just boot it.... I asked a few places about this info and performance garages that tune race cars all basically in one word or another confirmed this...
