    Default Headlight adjustment light showing!

Hi guys, i bought a 03 Vectra GSI yesterday and on the way home what looks like a symbol telling me to adjust the headlights is constantly on, it looks like a headlamp with an arrow pointing up and one pointing down, does anyone know what this means please and what could be the possible cause.

Is it something to do with the self levelling system?

    Cheers guys, Lee.

I think Hyperchart(Dave) is having a problem with his leveller sensor which is at the rear wheel passengerside.I think he has his booked in to garage to have it checked .So maybe he can update you when its sorted.

There are two sensors, one front and one back. most likely one of them has been damaged. the warning is indeed showing a self levelling fault.

Is there a way of telling if a sensor is damaged without actually replacing with a known good part?

is there a certain way of fault finding them?

cheers in advance for the help guys.

Get it plugged into a computer that will read off error codes. Can get the gear for about £20 off Ebay but I'm not sure if the cheaper ones will be able to get at the codes from the lighting. Might need a Tech 2 session or ask if anyone around has a copy of OP-com you could use.

I have indeed got problems with my auto leveling but since my locking wheel nut key snapped i haven't been able to finish my suspension off.
I will have to book the car in at the dealer at a later date as i was hoping to have had it sorted out last Friday when it was booked in for the service.

As for code readers they will not pick up anything for the headlight leveling (i've tried), only way to find out really whats wrong is to use Tech2.

What code readers did you use?

OP-COM and Vaux-Com are pretty much Tech2. Did you try either of them.
