Sat Nav brightness

Hi guys, does anyone know how to dim the screen on the factory fit sat nav? it mentions contrast in the owners book but I cant find out how to do it?? I know it will dim with the instrument pannel but I want to just dim the screen.
It is so bright at night.

theres an option in the menu for contrast ..or night time viewing I found

It Normally dims when the lights are on. My Elite automatically dims the screen when the automatic light unit activates

I have mine set on 'Night mode' all the time.

Then it dims more when the lights are turned on.

Thanks for the quick response guys, I'm going out to see if I can find out how to get the options menu up

Been out, done it, Thanks, I also found out that you can make the stereo go on & off with the ignition, thank god for that, I thought it was broken because it would only turn on & off with the button

Mine is on "auto" so bright when no lights on, when i put lights on, it changes to night colur and dims (even more than just night colur)
