    Did you take your engine cover off?.I'm always frightened of messing things up.The last time I did my engine bay,I taped all the electrical connectors up because I was sure I was going to blow something.Took me the best part of a day to do,then the same to take it all off again!!!!.It was weeks before my fingers recovered. FELIXX.(Looks nice by the way).

    1-left car running from cold
    2-left all covers on and just jetted it to get loose stuff off
    3-then coverd everywhere with a can of 1£ oven cleaner from rock bottom stores
    4-left for 5 mins
    5-jetted off thoughly
    6-repeated step 2 3 and 4 again
    7-took car for a 5 min drive

    If you do want to power wash the engine whats the best way to do it, ie what precautions must be taken on a diesel engine, fancy giving my snow foam a bash on it.

    You can do the block , turbo heat shield the vacuum pump , lower throttle manifold and air con pipe work

    ive done this loads of times with no probs jus leave it running while u do it and drive it straight after for a good drive u might get a sqeely belt but it does go away
