High Level Brake Light on Signum 2.0T

Hi peeps!
Quick question here....looked through forum and cant see anything along the lines of my question.
Just bought a 2003 2.0T signum...shes lovely however the high level brake light is setting off a bulb light symbol on the dash and also a spanner sign. Looked them up and its electrical. But when looking at the light i have no idea how to take it off to look whether its wiring or needing a complete new part.
Can anyone help me please?

I think you remove it from inside the car.

Take the top plastic trim off and you should see the bolts holding it in.
