great work mate really need to do mine
Heck Yeh! I'd be happy too mate
wow. Come on spill the beans. What does wet sanded headlamps entail. I want to do mine now.
looks great fella
what grade paper did you use? i have all grades up to 2000 and g3 so want to get started on this one!
I cant see the after pic.......did you get rid of the crazing on the edges of the lights?
OK got it now
wow tell us more mine ar looking a bit rough round the edges.
it took a while and I did buy a kit from ebay but I'm convinced that I could of made my own cheaper.
the most important bit will the drill attachment, I don't have a polisher anymore so it was needed.
this is the kit: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
but it doesn't go adhrasive enough.
I started with 1500 grit but it wasn't enough, so I started with 800 then 1200-1500-2000-2500.
I used the compound from the kit but I get better results from megs scratch X.
I improvised by cutting discs out of wet and dry and sticking them to velcro. it gave a better result.
finished off with the polish/ sealer.
things to watch out for....
the plastic doesn't get to hot.
start with 1500 and see if it removes the haze by doing a patch test, if not, go lower.
remember it makes a mess of your car.....lol
having proper sanding discs would of made it much easier.
happy days.
very nice David - i bet your exceedingly pleased with the outcome
0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
