I didn't for dip, took airbox off on driver's side, and washer filler neck on passenger side. With battery.fuse box cover hooked up out of way plenty of access. Read the How to's or search for bulb changes.

yeah need some torx screws,... bout time the manufacturers packed this silly game in .. especially as it's points on license for bulbs out. Seems the days of popping your bonnet and undoing the back of the lamp set are gone

    Since when?

At worse you should be given a 7 day wonder, along with a form to get someone like an MOT tester to fill in to confirm the bulb(s) are now working.

They could, if they wish, issue you with CU20 giving you 3 points - 'Causing or likely to cause danger by reason of use of unsuitable vehicle or using a vehicle with parts or accessories (excluding brakes, steering or tyres) in a dangerous condition'

I'd only accept a CU20 if they were to issue one to themselves. 3 plod cars currently being driven around the area with defective lights. 2 have a tail light out, and the other a brake light.

I know,.. I even pulled one over and told him, he'd just pulled out of the station too so he clearly hadn't checked the car over. I know they won't give you the points and would certainly give you a warning to get it fixed.
My father came out to pick me up form a party one evening and his light went that night, called into halfords there and then to buy a bulb and got pulled on the way home by a very condescending young officer... dad had his foglights on for what is clearly obvious reasons to which this d!ck advised him that it's an offence to drive with front foglights on when it's not foggy,.. then advised him to leave them on!!!

I pointed out several years ago that a tail light had gone on one of our local beat cars (an Astra-G). Plods reply was that it'll need to be booked into their vehicle workshop at Kidlington for repair. Kidlington just so happened to be nearly 30 miles away. No wonder the police are always complaining they have no money.
