'COLLECTION ONLY DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE CAN POST BUT NEED PAYMENT BEFORE WE POST PLEASE CONTACT US FOR MORE DETAILS'

    Thats why!

But he shouldn't have that on though.

£500 is a bit pricey anyway isn't it?

That makes a total of about £1500
The postage is so high to avoid the ebay fees
    Report to ebay

The seller should then amend the postage to the correct amount
They have not done this, so the £999 postage will apply for their fees
When the item ends they then apply a postage discount of £974 and add a surcharge of £974
They are blatantly avoiding ebay fees on that amount due

Usually ebay spot this kind of thing, as the threshold is currently set to £150.00 for postage
In the event the item is not reported and the seller invoices for postage at that rate then the buyer would be within their rights not to pay, plus the seller would receive one strike
