    Default Hid kit knowledge please

I am looking at getting a HID kit from VVME.com - There is a normal hid kit (35w) which is normal ballasts, digital slim ballasts which are 35w still and normal ballasts 50/55w. What is the difference between the 35w and 55w? Will it affect my car at all because i know the is obvisouly a power difference but I still only want the same colour. On the website it does say - Error Cancellor Needed? "No, if your stock socket is 50W/55W".

    So i guess the question is - Is a Signum 2006 1.9CDTI AutoElite a 50/55w socket?

    Thanks in advance

35w is plenty mate, 55w are just brighter. I have 35w on mine and there mega bright. 4.3k is the colour you want if you want a factory HID look or 6k for a slightly bluer look. Facelifts dont tend to need cancellors.

I've just fitted a 35w 6K kit on mine. Full info here:-

With the kit I installed, it was plug and play. No separate cancellors required.

hi, buddy, the stock socket for Signum 06 is 35w H7 for both hi/low beam..... you'd better stick with H7 35w hid even though 55w hids are brighter than 35w hids... 55w hids generate more heat and 55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit)

so if you dont want to blind others eyes for oncoming traffic, you just stick with 35w H7 hid kit http://www.vvme.com/digital-slim-h7-...cPath=44_45_23

I spoke with Martin at HIDs Direct about the 35w and the 50w.Although this is just for information purposes etc,he told me that you can still use the 35w bulbs with a 50w ballast but the bulbs will have a shorter life, etc.(I suppose that it's just the same principle as a normal household bulb really). FELIXX.
