Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I'm sure he said objectors. And I was so taken aback by the bull.... that I didn't know what to say.

Thing is, the vibration is so subtle they can plead ignorance. But what they can't avoid, is the 'in your face' vibration when stationary and gently rev up to 1500 as I said. It's very plain to be seen (felt) but as previously said they are coming away with some rubbish about objectors.

I mentioned the SCV's and the field remedy. He said the remedy was only required if a certain fault code came up. He did say he may change the SCV'S regardless. But by this afternoon they seem to have changed their angle.

I have told them on more than one occasion that if its not fixed the car stays there. I don't want it back.

I wonder if I'm entitled to a refund on cost of car? I would say I am!

I can see problems ahead. It's a cracking car tho. Shame they're not more forthcoming on fixing it!

That is incorrect as the blocked SCV does not return a fault code, until it has completely failed, which makes it so difficult to diagnise
Anyway the problem and symptoms do not sound like a fuel pump issue

    Try this :
Fill a small cup about half way with water
    Sit in the drivers seat
    Run the engine on idle
Place the cup between your legs, resting on the seat, does the surface of the water propogate?
Place the cup on the centre armrest, does the surface of the water propogate?
Place the cup on the main console, does the surface of the water propogate?
Place your hand on the clutch pedal, can you feel a vibration?

Take a close look at the rev needle on idle
    Does it move or pulse?

The VX dealership I use has seen my car plenty of times, so they "know what they are doing", as they seem to have seen most of the faults that can happen with this engine now
I know other dealerships now send Y30DT engines there as I have seen a few there now
Perhaps you want your dealership to contact Glasgow South and ask their advice!

Well. Thought I better update you all. Have returned car to garage it was purchased from and my money refunded in full. And the general manager has even put my plate into retention for me.

So in short, I'm disappointed the car hasn't been fixed, for whatever reason. But I can say that the vauxhall Arnold Clark in Dundee were very good about it all.
