Anyone used them before and do they really remove the smells from outside. Got stuck behind a bus today and the stink of diesel was terrible. I just wondered if they are worth the extra or not worth bothering with.

Yes, for my car it made a very difference. Due for a change now after about 10,000 miles its not as good as new.
So yes, when they are in good condition, great - but they do need changing regularly. Still well worth the extra few quid IMO

Living out in farming country I can verify they do make a difference..... especially around muck-spreading time.

Shop around and you might find there's very little difference in price with a standard filter.

I've noticed that smells in the vectra are very noticeable compared to my other cars.

Some of the older ones did'nt have pollen filters either.

Vectra's just seem to suck in every smell from miles around. Can be a good thing or a bad

thing depending on where you are.
