    Default Advice Needed

Hi All, I joined the forum back in June when I was thinking of buying a vectra C 1.9 Cdti 150bhp well i actually bought a Golf GtTdi but my head is still toying with the idea of a vectra .. I have seen one on a 55 plate and looks rite enough but was after some advice regarding the injector wiring i was told to check if it is yellow and if it has been replaced with blue it is OK. could Anyone tell me where i would find the wiring ?
And also the DMF and then EGR and Inlet manifold / swirl flaps (aint got a clue what DMF & EGR Stands for) again is there a specific way to check these
Any othr advice would be apreciated

    DMF - DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL
EGR - valve helps your car more efficiently and completely burn fuel by recirculating a portion of your exhaust and running it through the combustion process again. This results in a cooler, more complete burn of the fuel which decreases you car's noxious emissions by prohibiting the formation of some harmful gases

What was omitted is the fact that this valve f***s your inlet manifold up eventually. FELIXX.

The Golf is OK, but is small. Perhaps he wants a bit of room. The VW TDi is an engine with more than its fair share of mechanical issues.

aparently most post 2006 have most of the common faults ironed out (so i have heard, please dont quote me), so maybe bst looking for something a little newer if budget can stretch to it. By the time you buy a pre 2006, and replace all common faults as a precaution, you willhave spent just as much

Personally, I think the injector wiring is a minor issue. I had mine done last week, it cost me £30, including the labour.

The main things to be aware of are the dual mass flywheel and the inlet manifold.

I have had my inlet manifold replaced along with the swirl actuator....cost me £600.

Also , the EGR would not be a major concern either, as they are not too expensive (£70-£100) and can be fitted by yourself, in no time at all, its only 4 bolts and an electrical plug in connector.
