AFL light owners - kerb light bulb upgrade?

Hi guys,

I want to upgrade all the bulbs in my AFLs to be the same crisp light as my xenon main light. Has anyone ever done this?

My questions would be please:

1. Which bulbs do i need to buy? and any recommendations?
2. How the chuffin hell do you do them? It looks impossible for access!

Sorry do you just mean the sidelight bulb Mike? MTEC super white w5w/501 seem to be the bulb of choice.

It's the ones in the AFL lights that point sideways to kerbs mate. They inside headlight unit and angle outwards. Can work out how to change, or what to change with.

That part you list might be right? If it's a sidelight bulb might be the same?

That's one thought I had in mind a few months ago, but I was too lazy to remove the headlight for the bulb to be changed. Philips and Osram have some brighter halogen bulbs.

A good electrician can tell you what kind of bulb you have just by looking at it.

I wouldn't be too bothered about the kerb light mate as it hardly ever comes on - I've chaged the others though to a slightly blue/white light with the MTEC 501's as sidelights. Also chaged teh AFL xenon bulb itself to a 6K bulb which looks a million times better, and fitted my old 6K HID kit to my fog lights. Cracking combination...
