Hi mate, i got a similar problem with the noise thing when accelerating on my 2004 vectra 2 litre dti. Not got any starting probs or smoke & no eml lights, just this ****** awfull old diesel tractor type of noise untill it gets warmed up.

Did the egr, boost sensor cleanup, all pipes ok & also had the inlet manifolds off over the weekend to clean the swirl flaps up.

Noticed the comments on the youtube video.....some say this noise is normal for a cold dti?

Does the noise dissappear when it gets warmed up?

check the intercooler pipes, holes do not have to be big, but still lets the air out. If you hear a blowing air, like air compressor, then it is definitely punctured pipe. Remove hoses from the engine and make a good review of them, squeezed them and you will definitely find a hole.

The same thing hapend to me, when intercooler pipe sad goodbuy.... and then the another one to...

I had this happen at 55K, the chap I took the car to found a split hose, replaced and prob cured.

    P.S, he charged me £200 for a £30 hose!!!
