Default HIDs Direct to the rescue!

One of my HID's was not working one day last week so I ordered 2 new bulbs from HID's direct - was not wanting to revert to standard bulbs after having the HID's!!

Turns out it was not the bulb! Just a loose connection and all is OK.

They agreed to send me the rest of a full kit (ballasts and cancellers) for the price of the kit minus what i had paid already for the bulbs! And with a little sweetness sprinkled because I am a purple member on here!!

    Highly recommended to everyone!

And delighted I'll be getting some HID's for the main beam now!

How are you working the high beam HID?,the reason I'm asking is that I would like that function, but I thought you couldn't have a separate system on the high beam because of the firing up lag.FELIXX.

I had them on my mk4 Astra and they worked fine, just going to plumb them in as you would the dips.

Correct. They're not practical enough to be used for high beam because of the delay, not to mention HIDs don't like being turned on and off frequently as it shortens their life.

Hope they are as good to me, just fitted my new kit and one of the ballasts isn't working. Don't really want to have to sent the whole kit back either

Just ring them John.Martin is so helpful, ask him to send you one straight away and you will put yours in the post and once you get it,and make sure that it is faulty, you will then return the faulty one back to him.Their phone number is:0161 793 9236. FELIXX.

    That is an understatement!!.
Yesterday, whilst Martin was dealing with my order, there were people queueing behind me.
He said that what with that, and the orders off eBay,they were running around like demented lunatics. If,when you finally get through, you might get a young lady,I can't remember her name, but she's just as helpful as Martin so you shouldn't have any problems.I hope you get it sorted quickly though.FELIXX.

Well you were right, I got a young lass and she was very apologetic and told me just to sent the dodgy ballast back so fingers crossed
