    Default Virgin Media? BT? or SKY?

    Sooner or later im going to be having one of the above installed but am wondering what the best deal would be and your experiences?

    What am I looking for?
    - Well it will be TV (kids channels & sports & probably basic other);
    - Phone (evenings and weekends FOC will be sufficient);
    - Broadband - I have been advised that the area isnt fibre optic yet so whatever the best I can achieve (think it can go to 6.5 meg).

    I would like the Sky+ feature or the other equivalent.

    What do you reckon chaps?

    Naturally I want to spend as little as possible per month. Whats going to be best?

    For broadband I personally recommend BT. I haven't had experience of the others.

    Sky is fine too.

    If you can get it, I go with Virgin. We've tried most of the others, and they seem less prone to problems.

    This is what it says:

    "You're not in a fibre optic area, but you can still get our brilliant broadband down your phone line.
    With Virgin Broadband you can get the fastest broadband we can deliver down your phone line, up to 20Mb. Then, you can simply add any extras you want, including home phone."

    I am with AOL for phone and broadband, Sky for TV. I did want to switch to Virgin for the lot but we don't get fibre-optic in my area, so this set up was by far the cheapest option.

    Got rid of Sky moved to full Virgin service.
    Broadband has been down once or twice just recent, but still far better then sky.
    Customer service is good, every time I phone up to complain or think the price is to high they knock money off.
    BT always seem very high priced
    Sky just dont give a fig about its customers at all.

    Been with Virgin for years and cant complain. Ok there maybe cheaper packages out there but for reliability of service I have no complaints. Id rather pay for a good product than have a crap one for free.

    I have been with TeleWest, now Virgin Media, since 2004
    There were great benefits with digital TV, but now that I have a TV with Freeview I am considering dumping the TV package from Virgin Media (costs £6 per month)
    However, the TV does not have a HD Freeview, so I may purchase this (paying for itself in under 12 months)

    This would leave my Virgin Media account with just broadband, but the cost would increase from £18 per month to £23, making a saving of just £1
