    Default Anyone used these/advice appreciated

I was thinking of sticking some brighter bulbs in the car and wondered if these were any good

I don't want to start replacing the whole system with a HID kit so it has to be straight replacement bulbs.

Are they worth it or is it a waste of money?

    Cheers!

I always buy mine from a seller called magichoop, never had any probs with quality. Been looking at HID direct's MTEC ones for replacements next time, they also do some to fit side and fogs reasonable price.

I like the look of those and I am not sure if there is any point in changing the 'full beam' ones anyway as the standard ones seem ok.

Which ones are for the sidelights?

They would have to be done or I think they will look to yellow in comparison.

FWIW the main beam in mine is H1 not H7 but as others say probably a bit of snake oil in those I'd say

Wasn't aware we were talking main beam, as it's normally the dip causes probs, they do H1 and the wedgey sidelight bulbs in these as well, as does magichoop. Have only used the latter so far, never had an issue with the quality, service or longevity oof theirs., left my spare set with Messsy and he says he's happy. Assume, as HIDs direct are known for quality, that their MTEC bulbs would be ok. If I fit MTEC I'll post a report for the non HID users.

    Cheers Grumpy,

I had found 'magichoop' but he doesn't appear to be selling these at the moment. I have found the H1 and H7 bulbs at HIDs and may replace them both but like you say it is usually just the normal driving lights that need changing.

I am going to do the sidelights but need to spk to HIDs to see which ones they recommend.

i've just fitted some H7 55w Xenons from Halfords, I asked them for their brightest ones. Extreme brilliance I think they are called.

Once I got them set up correctly they were a lot better than standard bulbs.
