Default Hello all, im back! What have I been up to?? *PIC HEAVY*

    Hello all,

First of all, this thread contains LOADS AND LOADS OF PICTURES so scroll down with caution as it may freeze your Internet or PC/Laptop.

Im back, not that I have been anywhere.

Basically we bought a house 2.5 weeks ago so I took 2 weeks off from work and the Internet and everything socially related to work on the house.

To be blunt, the entire interior decor needed a re-work as it was dated and time had taken its toll on the style and general feel. So I went in all guns blazing to strip the house from top to bottom of the wall paper, ceiling polystyerene tiles and also the plastic covings. In all honesty, I think I have done a fair whack as within 2 weeks I have made the house ready for the electric re-wire (started today) and also for the plaster and patchwork (starts tomorrow).

Today's my 1st day back at work after 2 weeks and to say I am knackered is an understatement but no pain, no gain as the old saying goes.

All in all, I did the lounge, dining room, hall way, stairs, landing and all three rooms upstairs. Kitchen and bathroom are liveable for now so this is for the future and £££ soon tots up!!

Anyway, here are my ongoing pictures, please comment as I would love some feedback.

Oh, and I have been working pretty much single handed for 14 days 8am to 6pm, in between have had some help from family.

Here goes.....LOADS AND LOADS OF PICTURES, there are befores and afters of each area, I think you will be able to work out what was before and what was after.

Haha Nige, no chance mate. Its quite a way of finishing yet buddy, but at least the wiring is underway and plastering tomorrow. I had 2 weeks off so could go at it, now im back at work with no holiday left so its going to be a slow process now.

Reminds me of helping a friend with his first house, decades ago. Reckoned there were a dozen layers of wall paper down stairs, level with the skirting board. Got pics somewhere stood in hall and him sitting on rafter in loft with chainsaw, we'd taken all the ceilings and floors out, staircase needed turning round.
You're making good progress, assume you'll be putting finished pics on?

To be fair, the house wasnt in bad condition and IF ( a BIG IF) someone wanted to move in as it was, they easily could have but it was just dated so did need to be done.

Id be there evenings, weekends, even my lunchbreaks IF I could!
