Have just bought one of these, I take it you just follow the same "How to" thread for the 1.9 to fit this to my motta.....

    Cheers Dave...

    Hi Big Davie,

Interested to see how much of a difference you can feel, I’m not sure how much of a difference the panel filter has made. I’m pretty sure it’s more noticeable drawing air in (from a noise point of view, which I like). The factor reckoned about 1% power increase from the filter.

Word of warning about the screws, make sure you keep hold of them as they come out. I messed up and dropped one, never to be found again

I also hovered out the box when I changed the filter, amazing how much rubbish was in it.

As Vectra pogo says it is really easy to fit, but you will need torque set

    Cheers

All right Mark, you bring the tools and I'll bring the beer....

Why no probs Swatty,as soon as I get it fitted I'll give the motta a little test drive and get back to you, but I bet theres quite a few ppl out there that could answer your question.......

I too want to see how the noise sounds.....

Davie I think your engine will sound better, even my old 1.8 petrol sounded better.

as for performance, don't know, but I've read the 2.2 petrol benefits from the k&n panel filter.

must admit i put one on my 2.2 direct and i cant say i've noticed any performance increase although the black spots in 1st and second have been greatly reduced , also i just done a run to stafford and back and i averaged 38mpg which is about 4mpg more than usual so some benefit there too
