    Default Problem with the ultrasonics

My car is showing that I have a problem with the ultrasonics.

How do I get the PCB above interior light on my Signum to check they are plugged in ok?

And if they are can I just fit another set from a different Vectra/Signum without Tech2 etc?

There's 3 torx screws behind the lense, lense pops out, and 2 screws in the sunglasses holder (if fitted) then carefully remove the light assy from the roof lining.

Yeah I saw the 3 screws but wasnt sure if there were anymore as the Signum has the full roof console.

Took it all apart and everything is ok but still the error comes up.

Was all plugged in fine and the pcb of the ultrasonics are also ok.

Ultra-sonics can fail from time to time...

Mother in laws failed on her 2 yr old Antara...it has never been tampered with, but it simply just kept setting the alarm off. New sensor fitted under warranty and all is now fine.

I would suggest just getting a new one from either a scrapper, or if you feel quite rich, try one from the dealers.

For just the sensor panel, Tech 2 will not be required.

Other than this, have you checked that the "MANY" fuses in the rear electrical centre (rear fuse box) are present and intact.

Had the same thing myself recently wiring in a hidden microphone for my car bluetooth kit, after doing that got the ultrasonics fault and nothing I did got rid of it, took it out, checked all the connections, even stripped it down to check no broken solder tracks.

Was about to go out and buy another one when I figured as a last resort I'd "reset" the car, disconnected the battery for 20 minutes and presto, error gone and sensors working fine.

Might not help and if you hadn't disturbed them then it's probably faulty ones, but worth a shot.

    Thanks for the reply guys,

Will keep an eye out of a replacement set and try that.

What is the important numer on them as there seems to be different numbers on them.
