Default have i got the right sot cable?

Hey, i have a CD70 NAV and a parrot mki9200. currently its installed with a sot-122 lead from halfords. the parrot kit works fine, but the cd player is playing up. The speakers keep dropping bass, external in keeps coming up on the screen and cutting out my radio and most annoyingly, if im listening to a cd it will change to the radio.

Is the SOT-122 the correct cable, as i have seen a 122-s lead available, or is the one i have just not very good?

    Much thanks
    Mark

indeed the sot lead is the correct one - more likely that there is a poor connection or its incorrectly connected by halfords especially as it keeps muting

I have the same setup CD70 and MKi9200. I got the SOT122s.. No idea what the difference is, its what i was sent when i orderd the parrot and it works fine. If i remember correctly, i am connected to the 2nd choice of the 3 mute wires.

I used this supplier to connect my parrot 3100 to my radio.

I phoned them up and they knew exactly what I needed.

I also used an (INTELLI-SOT-8404) which senses the ignition for power up.

It was plug and play as they say.

According to Godzilla (post #7) in this thread:- LINKY

On ebay they are down as SOT-122 without steering and SOT-122s with steering controls.

I've looked at this lead (INTELLI-SOT-8404) on ebay. I want to use it to connect an IO Play device to my CD70 radio. Will this lead allow the IO Play device to use all the speakers or just the front 2. Does anyone know if a lead that uses all speakers exists? Thanks

ive just fitted a mk19200 using the SOt-122S lead. it doesnt work with the steering wheel controls so not exactly what the difference is between the two.

It works perfectly though and pauses the CD when a call comes in or you are playing music on your iphone (Extern in) appears on the display if wird correctly.

    Cheers
