I wasted half a tank testing mine after fitting them, you wont be disappointed

Take some allen keys with you too, you can adjust the headlights a little higher. Makes them miles more effective...

i was told by a parts bloke at a WJ king garage that you shouldn't fit HID's unless you change the wiring loom at the front of the car as they put a lot more pressure on it all is that true ? also what about headlamp washers ive been told you have to have them for it to be road legal and the same with auto levelling

Aparently its only if the car is fitted with factory fit xenons that headlamp washers/self levelling is required. Alot of members have had MOT's and passed with no problems with the HID's

As for extra load, HID's actually use less power than standard bulbs. The only time they use more is to ignite them

Perhaps you can help me with a problem regarding this issue.I fitted a pair to a Vectra B today and found that after about an hour both H/lights went out. When I checked the connections etc,I burned my fingers on the ballasts!!.They started up again no trouble when switched on but there has got to be a serious issue here don't you think?.FELIXX.

Definatly sounds like a dodgy kit, have you tried it on your Vec?

No way!!.It was a cheep kit I bought off eBay for spares,if you know what I mean, but with his Vectra B having no OBC,I thought I would fit it as a favour. Now to answer your question,BOTH headlight stopped working but came back on when switched on again,(although I then turned them off until the ballasts had cooled down). It would seem as though this is a safety thing but just imagine doing a night drive and your headlights going out after an hour!!.What a brown trouser moment that would be.Anyway,Ive emailed the jerks in China who I bought the kits off,(yes I bought two),so you never know,I might get something out of it from them, one can but live in hope.FELIXX.
