Default cdti 150 cutting out fault code p1125

hi just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to whats up with my 04 plate vectra estate ,runs perfectly pulls like a train until with no rhyme or reason starts loosing power wont rev over 2k and both management light comes on if you switch ign off then back on sometimes clears it. have had inlet manifold ,egr valve & all associated parts changed in may along with timing belt and it seemed to be fine for a couple of month. took to a freind with a snap on scanner and it threw tc p1125 wich is apparently throttle body have removed this yesterday and decoked as butterfly was sticking ,also cleaned out pipe from throttle body to intercooler (seems to be a lot of oil in there) worked fine for couple of days then back to normal
car only has 58k on it with full history and isnt driven hard all the time have had vx all my life and am an ex vauxhall mech although this was 12 yr ago and can safely say this will be my last any help or advice will be greatly appreiciated

P1125 is Throttle position sensor intermittent fault , which basically translats to the sensor is worn out , they are suseptible to going faulty in the lower part of the throttle band because thats the bit that is used most.

I have a similar issue on mine, so would be interested to know what the cause is.

Mine only does it when i have 1/4 a tank or less and go around a corner (Ie slip road onto motorways!).

Simple off/on seems to sort it though...

There in all likely hood be a fault in the Throttle body. Having looked at your profile it's an '04 model so it falls into the affected models (earlier ones had a coomon fault here).

There is a how2, there will probably be faulty solder joints etc on the PCB in the TB.

I had the same code but my engine used to cut out on me and juddered really badly. In the end I removed the plate, wether that was the correct long term thing to do or not remains to be seen.

I would go with the suggested 'how 2' for the throttle body repair!, Its easy enough to do, Plus your queery regarding oil in the intercooler to throttle body pipe!, There's 2 things you can do to help keep your new manifold clean, Firstly i would get a EGR semi blanking gasket from your local fiat garage, There's 2 but you dont have to fit both!, but i have (1 oval shape + 1 square)(around £5 for both), Then if you want to completly rid your system of the oil the ONLY way at the moment is to vent your system to 'atmos', This means parting the pipe on the left of your dipstick, blanking off the rubber part (i used a small length of 15mm copper heating pipe with 1 end bent over (zip tie or jubilee clip on), Then follow the metal part to the back of the engine, part again, Put a length of garden hose in the rubber end (zip tie it), Then take it forward & down out of the way, This will after around 1000 miles with some high speed runs, empty the oil from your intercooler & pipes. If you require any pics i can supply.
